This extension is the Tekmetric companion for shops licensed on the 360 Ops Hub platform. Installing it grants nothing: it does nothing until an employee of a licensed shop signs in to that shop's 360 Ops Hub dashboard in the same browser.
Nobody enters a code and nobody has to approve anything. Open the 360 panel beside Tekmetric. If it says Sign in to set up this computer, press Sign in to 360 Ops Hub and sign in with your own account. The panel notices within a few seconds, says Setting up this computer…, and is ready. It stays set up across browser restarts and extension updates.
After that the computer is one of your company's trusted computers and belongs to nobody. Whoever is signed in to 360 Ops Hub in that browser uses the panel with their own stores and permissions; the panel shows who is signed in, and Sign out hands the computer to the next person, who signs in as themselves. Nobody has to set the computer up again.
Owners and full administrators see every computer under Administration → Extension Computers - who set it up and who used it last - and can rename one (for example “Front Counter 1”) or revoke it. Revoking refuses everyone on that computer until an administrator allows setup again; disabling an employee's account stops that employee everywhere and leaves the computers working for everyone else.
A computer still on an extension version older than 1.11 shows a pairing code instead; Chrome updates it on its own, after which it works like the rest.
If the panel says This computer's access has been disabled, an administrator revoked it; they can allow it to be set up again from Extension Computers. If it says Sign in to use 360 Ops Hub, nobody is signed in in that browser. If it says This account can't use 360 Ops Hub here or Unable to set up this computer, the reason is shown with it (for example, an account with no store assigned yet).
Start at the Setup page's Status panel: it shows the installed version, whether you are signed in, your company and stores, when the dashboard last answered, and the update state. A screenshot of that panel is the fastest thing to send with a support request. The side panel also states its own failure reasons on screen rather than failing silently.
Email tpennel@360autosvc.org with the Status panel screenshot and the store and computer involved.
See the privacy policy. The extension itself talks only to the 360 Ops Hub dashboard, holds no data of its own beyond this computer's credential and small per-session caches, and can be disconnected at any time by revoking that computer in the dashboard. The policy explains what the dashboard keeps, and that AI-assisted write-ups and answers are produced by our AI service provider, OpenAI.
